Female protester: ‘I want Kocharyan to be jailed for life’

September 03,2019 18:19

The investigation of Kocharyan’s appeal began at the Constitutional Court on September 3rd at 11 AM. Outside of the court, there were not only people gathered in support of Kocharyan, but also people who were against the second president being released.

“As a mother of three, I want Kocharyan to be jailed for life,” said one woman. “How can someone be that rich from the presidential salary? He’s doing everything he can so he won’t be imprisoned, and the illegitimate Constitutional Court will make a decision in his favor,” a male protester said.

A citizen named Nvera Galstyan said that she came to protest against the illegitimate court. “A structure that is allegedly supposed to defend our constitution came out as anti-constitutional. The Constitutional Court will not make an unbiased decision since it’s in an anti-constitutional situation. The court needs to be dissolved.”
