On September 27, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Masis Mayilian received the delegation of Strovolos City of the Republic of Cyprus headed by Mayor Andreas Papacharalambous.
The Foreign Minister welcomed the visit of the delegation to Artsakh, noting that it was a good opportunity to get acquainted with the country and the achievements in the state-building process in the Republic, especially in the establishment and development of the local self-government system.
Masis Mayilyan emphasized the establishment of decentralized cooperation in the form of decentralized cooperation as one of the priority directions of the foreign policy of the Republic of Artsakh, which is of key importance both for the effective functioning of the Artsakh communities and the republic’s involvement in international processes.
In this context, the parties exchanged views on the opportunities and prospects for establishing mutually beneficial cooperation between one of the cities of Artsakh and Strovolos in different humanitarian spheres.
President of the European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy Kaspar Karampetian, Chairman of the Armenian National Committee of Cyprus Hagop Kazandjian, and member of the ARF Committee of Cyprus Raffi Mahdessian also participated in the meeting.
