EU NEIGHBOURS . On 12 December, Ekaterina Dorodnova, Charge d’Affaires a.i. of the EU Delegation to Armenia delivered the opening remarks at the public discussion on the draft Criminal Code.
The discussion was also attended by various stakeholders, including civil society and international organisations.
Armenia’s Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan and other officials also attended the event and delivered speeches.
The EU supports Armenia with criminal justice reform through legislative, methodological and capacity-building activities. It provides expert advice in the process of formulating and applying criminal law and criminal procedure policy by key justice sector stakeholders.
