On December 9-14, the Delegation of the RA National Assembly led by the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs with the support of the GIZ Public Finance Management in the South Caucasus programme was in the Federal Republic of Germany with cognitive visit. The NA deputies Artak Manukyan, Tigran Ulikhanyan, Artur Grigoryan, Yerjanik Hakobyan, Vardan Atabekyan, Yeghishe Soghomonyan, the NA Deputy Chief of Staff Lilya Sirakanyan, the Committee expert Alexander Harutyunyan, the members of the Audit Chamber Gagik Voskanyan and Davit Chibukhchyan, the Adviser of the GIZ Public Finance Management in the South Caucasus programme Hovahnnes Margaryants.
The NA Delegation had meetings with the representatives of the Berlin House for the MPs, the German Bundestag, the Federal Audit Chamber, the Federal Ministry of Finance, the Bundestag Audit Committee, the Bundestag South Caucasus Friendship Group, as well as the public and academic circles of the public finance management. During the meetings issues on budgetary control, the budgetary process of the two countries, as well as Parliament-Audit Chamber-Government cooperation were discussed.
On December 13, the members of the National Assembly Delegation took part in the sitting of the German Bundestag Audit Committee and had an opportunity to observe its process and get acquainted with the procedure.
At the meetings the members of the Delegation presented to the German side the ongoing developments and expectations of the public in Armenia, the procedure of the economic reforms in Armenia after the revolution, as well as items on bilateral cooperation agenda.
