On December 27, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan paid an unscheduled visit to the State Revenue Committee’s External Economic Service Center in Gyumri.
The Premier was briefed on the customs clearance process, talked to vehicle importers, answered their questions and took note of their concerns. The Prime Minister instructed those responsible to set up a queue management system in order to tackle the problems faced in this area.
Nikol Pashinyan told the heads of the State Revenue Committee and the Police to increase the number of service staff. An operative decision was made to that effect. “The Gyumri car customs clearance office will be open 24 hours a day by at least December 31,” the Prime Minister said.
The Head of Government called at the Center’s construction site to inspect the activities in progress.
