On February 4, at around 02:00 information was received from the Department of Crisis Management Center of the Republic of North Ossetia of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation that a car accident had occurred near Larsi border crossing point. The casualties were RF citizens.
On February 5, at around 10:00 information was received from the Emergency Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia that on February 3, at around 18:55 by local time an emergency call was received that a car accident had occurred near the 1st tunnel on Kobi-Gudauri roadway (Kazbeki region).
It turned out “Toyota” car had run off the roadway and rolled over into a gorge. The driver of the car (Zurab A. born in 1979, RF citizen) was hospitalized with a broken leg. One of the passengers (identity was unknown) died on the spot.
The passenger Marina Kh. (born in 1996, RF citizen) did not get any injuries.
