“It is obvious that Armenia did not occupy as high of a place on any report as it has now. Armenia receives the highest ratings in all international reports, and our ratings are improving everywhere,” the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, told journalists during an interview in reference to statements made by members of the opposition about Armenia’s alleged falling ratings.
“The small partisan groups working in Armenia are spending money in an attempt to lower Armenia’s ratings not only within Armenia, but also outside of Armenia. They leave the country and speak to foreign officials, complaining about how unhappy they are that they are no longer in power,” Alen Simonyan noted.
He said that he does not agree with evaluations that society’s ratings of the authorities are decreasing. “There will always be people who have different opinions. I will advise you to log out of Facebook and to escape from the influence of those who are being paid to speak poorly about the authorities. You will see who truly makes the Armenian people angry. They are angry about what is taking place against Nikol Pashinyan and the ruling party. They are speaking about the atmosphere of hatred. There is such an atmosphere in people whom no one likes, including those in their own circles. The authorities do not hate anyone.”
According to Alen Simonyan, “They are instilling hatred into people so that they can make the authorities seem like the same monsters that they are.”
