The head of the “China-Eurasia” Council for Political and Strategic Research, Dr. Mher Sahakyan, was elected a member of the Advisory Board of the International Institute for Peace – IIP. Established in 1956 in Vienna, Austria this institution is making great contribution for the World peace and international security. The International Institute for Peace has consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and the United Nations Organization for Education, Science, Culture and Communication (UNESCO). Dr. Mher Sahakyan thanked the International Institute for Peace. He mentioned that it is an honor to be involved in the Advisory Board of such an authoritative institution and he will do his best in this new role.
Recently, International Institute for Peace published book (Iran in the International System: Between Great Powers and Great Ideas, editors: Heinz Gärtner, Mitra Shahmoradi, Routledge). In this book Mher Sahakyan contributed the following chapter, which was called “The Iranian Nuclear Issue and China: Sino-Iranian Interactions Within and Beyond the UNSC”.
