Chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a regular meeting was held in the Office of Government to discuss steps aimed at countering the coronavirus-caused pandemic’s adverse economic impact. Several proposals on supporting and implementing targeted investment / development programs in individual sectors were presented during the meeting, which covered the manufacturing and high-tech sectors, agriculture and healthcare. Assistance toolkits and next steps were discussed in all detail.
In addition to the programs approved at the previous government meeting, proposals were submitted to support individual social groups. Prime Minister Pashinyan instructed to develop specific steps and measures based on the proposals voiced at the meeting, which should be implemented in the form of government decisions.
Nikol Pashinyan told those in charge to complete the necessary preparations so that the beneficiaries could use some of the government’s anti-crisis packages as early as tomorrow, as announced at the Cabinet meeting of March 26.
