Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today chaired a meeting of the Coronavirus Response Task Force.
Healthcare Minister Arsen Torosyan gave updated COVID-19 statistics and information on infected patients’ health status.
Emergency Situation Commandant, Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan recommended extending the state of emergency for 30 days and maintaining the nationwide lockdown, including the restrictions on people’s free movement, public transport and inter-regional traffic, over which the Commandant will issue relevant instructions.
The meeting went on to discuss restrictions of certain types of economic activities and steps to counter the spread of infection. Reference was made to the functioning of social, educational, cultural and other public institutions.
