On April 13, pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and Article 41 of the Constitutional Law the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, on the initiative of the Government an extraordinary sitting of the National Assembly was convened by the initiator’s established agenda.
According to the decision made by the parliament, the debate of the legislative initiatives in the second reading will be held after passing them in the first reading within twenty-four hours.
One of the items included in the draft agenda of the extraordinary sitting was the bill on Amending the RA Law on Medicine presented by the government, which was presented for debate to pass in the first reading.
According to the RA Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan, the draft law proposes to extend the term of licensing of carrying out the wholesale of the medicine for four months.

The MPs also debated the package of bills on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Rendering Medical Aid and Service to the Population and on Making Addendum to the RA Law on Licensing. The key speaker, the RA Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan made proposals on rendering medical aid and service to the population regarding the coronavirus disease (COVID – 19).
The legislative initiatives were passed in the first reading by 115 for votes.
Afterwards by the established procedure the parliament in the second reading completely debated and passed the debated items.
Covering the agenda the National Assembly ended the work of the extraordinary sitting.
