President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Minister of Defense, deputies, and other Azeri officials have started to make militaristic statements again. According to My Step deputy Tatevik Hayrapetyan, these statements are meant for Azeris. “Azerbaijan is under strict quarantine. People who aren’t wearing masks get fined and there are internal political activities underway. I think that Azerbaijan will not take such a risk. The international community should not leave such statements from Azerbaijan without a response,” the deputy said in a briefing with reporters.
According to Tatevik Hayrapetyan, similar statements in Armenia that call upon the army to attack Azerbaijan quickly are also dangerous. “It is absurd that such people are given a platform. The situation is not the sort where we are able to allow ourselves to speak about our enemy in such a way.”
