EU NEIGHBOURS . A team of medical experts from Lithuania is on their way to Armenia, thanks to the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
The group consists of volunteers and members of the Lithuanian coronavirus crisis management team. For 14 days the medical staff will help their Armenian colleagues in the fight against the virus.
European Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič said:
“The EU remains committed to supporting Armenia and partners in the region as they tackle the coronavirus pandemic. I am grateful to Lithuania for helping our neighbours in Armenia. This is true European solidarity in action. The EU stands ready to channel further offers of assistance.”
