Since the situation is such that we have no other choice but to accept this alliance and not expect anything from it. In particular, we should not demand what we don’t truly want: if the Russian forces (because it’s clear that there is no such thing as the CSTO forces) stand at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and try to create peace, I believe that Azerbaijan will benefit from that. In any case, the attempts at the Soviet Union’s and later Russia’s “peacekeeping” in Artsakh in the 1990s remind me of that. And we were able to gain a significant advantage when there were no foreign armies in the region. I do not doubt that this will also be the case now. We need to uphold good relations with Russia; being rude or closing the door on them will not help us in any way. A united Armenian state, Armenian army, and 10 million Armenians are enough for us to solve our problems. If we are strong on the inside, we will not gain any allies, but everyone will respect us. Including Azerbaijanis.
