The talented pianist Shogher Hoveyan, whose Armenian and Western European compositions have surprised Armenian and European listeners, will be performing works created by modern German composer Jens Wiltfang in Hanover, Germany on August 8th. They will be performed for the first time during the Ice Rain album exhibition.
Shogher Hoveyan said that presenting new music can be a bit risky because you wonder if you will be performing the music accurately and in a way that the audience will understand, especially if the music that you will be presenting does not fit into accepted standards.
Jens Wiltfang is a psychologist by profession. Actress Noemi Besedes, who is a great lover of classic music, will be the presenter during Shogher Hoveyan’s performance. Armenian saxophonist Hayrapet Arakelyan will also perform at the concert.
Due to the pandemic, only 30 people are allowed to be in the audience. However, the Armenian TV5 channel has been given the extraordinary opportunity to broadcast the concert on Armenian television.
Shogher Hoveyan’s brother is violist Vache Hoveyan. She is also the daughter of poet Hovik Hoveyan and Professor Vard Manukyan from the Komitas State Conservatory.
