On August 24, at 22:25 local time (18:25 GMT) the Seismological Network of the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the MES of RA registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 and 12 kilometers depth with the geographic coordinates of 39.40⁰ in northern latitude and 47.90⁰ in eastern longitude on the 27th kilometer south of Parsabad city of Iran.
It measured magnitude four at the epicenter.
The quake was felt in Stepanakert, the capital city of Artsakh, at two degrees on the MSK scale.
