The virus is subsiding in Gyumri; those infected include high-ranking judicial officials

There has been a decrease in the number of coronavirus cases in Gyumri. At the moment, teachers are being actively tested. They have begun in Gyumri’s schools.

As the head of the health department of the Shirak provincial administration, Leyli Aslanyan, informed Aravot Daily, 495 teachers from nine schools in Gyumri have been tested, of which 16 were confirmed to have the virus.

Overall, 5,848 teachers will be tested in the province.

According to the provincial administration official, the condition of the coronavirus in Shirak is stable. A decrease in the number of cases has been noted. For example, 10 out of 169 people tested were confirmed to have the virus yesterday. Two of them were taken to Yerevan for treatment.

The number of people who died of the coronavirus in Shirak has reached 43.

According to our sources, high-ranking judicial officials in the region, including officials from the courts and the Compulsory Enforcement Service, who are currently in self-isolation.
