Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a farewell meeting with outgoing PRC Ambassador to Armenia Tian Erlong.
Thanking the Ambassador for his tenure-long vigorous efforts aimed at promoting the Armenian-Chinese relations, the Prime Minister noted that the bilateral cooperation was close and productive during his term in office. Nikol Pashinyan stressed that the Armenian government is keen to boost and expand the ongoing partnership with China. The Premier noted that the discussions held with the Chinese President and Prime Minister in Beijing last year may provide a good basis for enhanced interaction.
Ambassador Erlong thanked the Prime Minister and the Government of Armenia for effective cooperation, noting that the Chinese side is also interested in developing political, economic and humanitarian ties with Armenia. The Ambassador pointed out that the bilateral trade turnover had increased and the humanitarian ties had expanded over the past few years. Tian Erlong expressed confidence that the two governments will tap the wealth of cooperation potential between the two countries in the coming years.
The meeting next focused on issues related to joint action in road construction, infrastructure development, tourism, healthcare and education and on the implementation of new projects.
