The disabled boy from Hadrut was shot in the chest and abdomen several times, as well as in the palm of his hand when he raised it to show that he was unarmed: New details

“We are facing a humanitarian disaster due to the fact that there are thousands, if not tens of thousands of unexploded ordnance in Stepanakert and other residential areas that can endanger the lives and health of civilians, especially children, for many years,” the Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, said during a press conference.

This is a very important issue. Artak Beglaryan was wounded at the age of 6 due to a UXO exploding in 1995, which caused him to lose his eyesight. “Thousands of children like me either lost their lives, or their health was impacted, and this doesn’t only affect children. They are deliberately using these weapons in densely-populated areas.”

Artak Beglaryan also spoke about the Armenophobia in Azerbaijan, which is instilled in them from preschool. He used a Turkish work to describe the disgusting act of targeting churches: “That is haram.”

Regarding the humanitarian disaster, Beglaryan had considered it a crisis before labeling it a disaster due to the fact that Azerbaijan targeted residential buildings. “The residents of Artsakh are deprived of the conditions to take care of their basic needs. Our lives and health are constantly in danger. We never know where they will shoot and because of this, we have found ourselves facing serious challenges, since tens of thousands of people are being forced to leave their houses. We also have not yet overcome the coronavirus.”

Azerbaijani saboteurs in Hadrut murdered two civilians: a woman and her son who had a disability. Artak Beglaryan presented details about the incident. “An Azerbaijani saboteur group got into Hadrut after the ceasefire agreement was made and, according to several sources, mercenary terrorists had also joined them. They terrorized the population, burned down several homes, and killed several civilians. As of yesterday, we had information on two civilians- a woman and her disabled son- who were both shot. We also just received more information. I will present their names so that no one has any doubts: Misha Avetisyan and Anahit Avetisyan (I will double-check the mother’s last name). Besides that, we also have information on two more civilians- Nver Grigoryan and Artyom Mirzoyan. They also were killed by mercenary terrorists. The first two, the mother and son, were killed in their home, which means that these terrorists simply entered their home and shot them. We published pictures that showed the disabled boy was shot in several places, including his chest and abdomen. He was also shot in the palm of his hand, which enables us to conclude that he raised his hand to show that he was unarmed, and so the Azerbaijani terrorists shot his hand. This also enables us to conclude that this was an act of terrorism, one of the heaviest war crimes.”

Artak Beglaryan said that Armenians must be persistent so that these terrorists are properly punished.
