The EU ambassador to Armenia received several of the protesters gathered outside of the EU delegation office. “The reception was on a very high level. She gave us clear answers despite the fact that there were some disagreements over the incorrect use of some terminology,” one of the participants told journalists.
According to her, “In any case, we spoke about how the EU and all other European agencies are utilizing the same silent policies that they utilized during the April War of 2016. And what happened as a result? The torture and disrespect towards our prisoners of war and dead soldiers that were presented by the human rights defenders of Armenia and Artsakh to international bodies remained unpunished, and no sanctions were put in place against Azerbaijan. The ambassador said that she saw all the videos and she is aware of all the details. Everything was presented in Brussels. She expressed the hope that an evaluation will be made. The ambassador said that she favors Armenia, and everyone knows that Azerbaijan started the war with Turkey’s help.”
The protester also said that the ambassador also cried when Anahit Bakhshyan was unable to hide her tears.
