‘I hope these families know they are not alone’: Programs and Institutional Development Officer for Armenian Caritas

Catholic Relief Services and Armenian Caritas Benevolent NGO are distributing urgently needed hygiene items and winter blankets to more than 600 displaced families from Nagorno-Karabakh, in Ararat province.

“I hope these families know they are not alone; Catholic Relief Services, Armenian Caritas and USAID care about their situation and are ready to support them in this difficult time,” said Anahit Gevorgyan, Programs and Institutional Development Officer for Armenian Caritas.

The project, Emergency Assistance for Conflict-Affected People from Nagorno-Karabakh, will help families meet their basic needs as they determine their next steps amidst the uncertain situation. This assistance is made possible by the generous support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Catholic Relief Services and Armenian Caritas are working in coordination with the local and regional municipalities as well as other local and international NGOs.
