Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today received Armenia’s Goodwill Ambassador, French international footballer, world and European champion Yuri Djorkaeff and Advisor to the President of the Armenian Football Federation, Deputy Mayor of the French city of Décines, Denis Djorkaeff. High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanian was in attendance.
The Prime Minister thanked the Djorkaeff brothers for supporting Armenia and Artsakh during this difficult period. “I am happy to welcome you again. We highly appreciate the activities and support that the Djorkaeff family carries out for the benefit of Armenia and Artsakh. We must be united, mobilize our national potential and move forward in these difficult times. We need to be more active, more closely interconnected,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
Yuri Djorkaeff thanked the Prime Minister for his kind remarks, stressing that the Armenian community in France will always stand by the Armenian people, Armenia and Artsakh. “Mr. Prime Minister, we are here to provide humanitarian support, as well as to bear witness to the strong Armenian-French ties. We will continue our commitment; we will continue to be by your side,” he said.
Other issues related to consolidating national potential in the current situation, strengthening Armenia-Diaspora-Artsakh ties, Armenian-French friendly relations were discussed during the meeting.
