Today, Deputy Minister of ES Armen Pambukhchyan met Chargé d’Affaires of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Armenia Helen Fazey, Defence Attaché Tony Brumwell, Defence Relations Officer of the UK Embassy Samvel Hunanyan.
The main functions and issues of the Ministry aimed at the distribution of humanitarian aid, the activity and new strategic priorities of the Ministry of Emergency Situations the field of the civil defense were discussed during the meeting.
Armen Pambukhchyan expressed his gratitude for the effectiveness of the programs implemented in the previous years with the support of the British Embassy. In particular, reference was made to English language training programs for the main and reserve teams of the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as to the first aid training programs for rescuers.
The guests stressed the readiness of the Embassy to ensure the further continuity of these programs and presented new directions of cooperation.
