‘Dear Governor, you formed detachments to save Shushi, did you not like the color? Was Shushi dull? Is that why you ran away?’: Head of Urtsadzor village

December 08,2020 16:33

The head of the Urtsadzor village of the Ararat province, Rafik Andreasyan, claimed that Governor Garik Sargsyan and others are here to destroy the country. They organized the war from the top to lose.

“The so-called Nikol sold our country, and his every speech and syllable was a signal to Turks to come,” Rafik Andreasyan told Aravot Daily in an interview.

He also spoke about the statement made by the governor of Ararat where he said that the Armash, Surenavan, Ararat village, Ararat city, Avshar, Noyakert, Yeghegnavan, Sisavan, Lusarat, Pokr Vedi, Vanashen, Vedi city, and Urtsadzor communities did not form volunteer detachments to participate in the defense of the homeland, and therefore, they do not have the right to voice their support to the people gathered on Freedom Square. This is due to the fact that the leaders of these communities are “individuals dependent on local oligarchs,” and there are criminal cases against approximately half of those leaders. Some of them are even in courts. According to the governor, their attitude over the past few days is not surprising whatsoever due to the fact that those people hoped that they could save themselves by causing chaos throughout the country.

“I have heard a lot that the authorities claim that the former regime is to blame. Yes, they are to blame, and they allowed people like that to insult Armenians, business owners, presidents, ministers, political parties, and more for almost three decades. Everyone shares part of the blame. They insult Armenians, but they make Turks out to be educated and intelligent. With regard to the so-called governor, he tried to create instability using their own working style and infiltrating local governments. I resigned at the time and was re-elected as the village leader. When you speak of the governor, when he speaks about education and other things, he should have first begun by reading about hectares, cubic meters, and animals. Then, he could have become governor. I also told him during meetings that he didn’t even mature as a village leader, how can he be a governor? And he proved once again with his statement that he is not a governor. Why? Because he was supposed to organize the draft. What do you think, was the draft supposed to take place through detachments? We have a state. The second question I have, dear Governor, is you formed detachments to save Shushi, did you not like the color? Was Shushi dull? Is that why you ran away? He ran away while putting everyone he brought with him in danger.”

Rafik Andreasyan, who also called for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, said that Pashinyan needs to resign along with his administration. “He needs to leave. I cannot look into the eyes of parents who lost their children. Do you think that only soldiers died? Look into the eyes of their parents and family members. Is there life in them? They are only surviving physically. Our village had two casualties, one missing in action, and six wounded soldiers.”
