There were many people at the Zorats pantheon in Proshyan.
There were many women here- mothers, sisters, and widows- who placed flowers at the graves of their loved ones- flowers that they were supposed to receive today as gifts.
The soldiers of the Proshyan unit who died in the first and second Artsakh wars are buried at the pantheon.

A membership ceremony for 19 new members of the Armenian Relief Society took place at the pantheon.
Women swore near the graves of their sons, fathers, and husbands that they would selflessly and humbly serve the Armenian people and the homeland.
This is how Marine Hambardzumyan, chairwoman of the Armenian Regional Office of the Armenian Relief Society, explained the selection for the ceremony’s location. “When the Artsakh War began in 1991, the Armenian Relief Society had a lot of connections with the Proshyan volunteers. There was a large unit here. We also supported all the work that was being done. Why did we choose this place today? Because 17 people from here died in one day. Boys whom we sent off on September 27th. The joy of that day, the belief that the boys are going to support, help, and save their country… the day had great meaning. When we learned about their loss… believe me, we still haven’t come to terms with it. One left his wife and children, the other left his elderly mother so that he could be helpful.”
By the way, today is also Yervand Tadevosyan’s (Chakhkal) birthday. He participated in the first Artsakh War as well. He died during the 44-Day War.
