“The first April 24th of the post-war period had a clear and special international resonance. That day was marked by the very strong expression of international support. High-level delegations came to Armenia, and many partners made statements, including at the highest levels,” the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ara Ayvazyan, stated during a meeting with journalists today.
“The recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide is not only important from the standpoint of historical justice, but also for the physical safety of the Armenian people. I completely share the thought expressed by US President Joe Biden in his statement that the international community needs to take steps in order to prevent similar crimes from happening in the future. The prevention of genocide is one of Armenia’s priorities on its international agenda, and Joe Biden’s statement is a great contribution in a broad sense,” Ara Ayvazyan emphasized.
