“The existence of the Russian peacekeepers is very relative. Now, we are losing Syunik. The current authorities are not even trying to hide those intentions,” Republican Party member and former parliamentary deputy Margarit Yesayan said during a meeting with reporters at the Hayeli press club.
“You saw the response that the Syunik residents’ dissatisfaction received. Around six dozen residents of Syunik were arrested and tortured. What’s interesting is the show that Pashinyan put on three years ago has reached its end. They are doing their work wonderfully. The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs do not believe that the Artsakh issue has been resolved as Aliyev says. Pashinyan has also made similar statements. Meanwhile, the leaders of superpowers do not agree,” Margarit Yesayan expressed.
According to her, “We are losing Syunik among all that noise. The moral psychology of our society is that they aren’t thinking about that- victims, losing homes. This is the genocide of this century, which continues and which destroys people. Recently, Azeris attacked a pastor in Syunik, injured his eye, and threatened him to leave 100 meters. The people of Syunik are ignored. The Turks are doing as they please, and citizens are defending themselves. Do we have an Armenian government or a Turkish one? I think it is a Turkish one.”
