Yerevan Municipality and the UN Development Programme have summarized their cooperation in recent years and discussed the possibilities of implementation of new projects. The projects successfully implemented with the UNDP, particularly of environmental significance including street illumination, energy efficiency increase and energy saving programs were presented at the meeting held in the City Hall.
According to Yerevan Mayor’s Advisor David Chgnavoryan, making the Municipality work maximally simple, transparent and supervisable, digitalization and increasing the number and quality of e-services is of priority task. The cooperation with the UNDP will open new perspectives.
“The cooperation with the city authorities in various spheres has years of history. There are numerous successful projects. We are expecting responds to some new projects. There are also some ideas that are to be worked out in teamwork”, said Tatevik Koloyan, head of Innovation and STG Finance Programs of the UNDP in Armenia.
To form the vision of Yerevan Development the Municipality is going to create a working group which will involve the UNDP specialists as well. With new ideas and approaches the program will make it possible to use digital technologies and management in working out the General Plan of the city.
