Before Gagik Tsarukyan’s speech, chants of “Tsarukyan for Prime Minister” exploded during Prosperous Armenia’s final rally on Freedom Square. Tsarukyan said that he was coming to save his country and his people. “You all saw that Aliyev and Erdogan came to our land, Shushi, and signed a document with each other. I have been saying for six months that we need to sign a new military-political document with Russia, with our allied country.
Knowing that Turkey will support Azerbaijan, they signed a letter that Turkey will be by Azerbaijan’s side in any war. Our age-old friend is Russia; we must be honest with it and restore ties.” Gagik Tsarukyan criticized the policy of the current government, expressing bewilderment over the statements that there are no problems in the relations between Armenia and Russia. “There are rumors in the European Parliament that, to say the least, Armenia is against Russia. How are our friendly relations with Russia good? Only the Prosperous Armenia deputy votes for Russia. That’s why we have to restore the main problem. We must be able to work with Russia instead of throwing anything at our Russian partners.”
According to Gagik Tsarukyan, Armenia should have a professional army, and contract servicemen should be paid one million drams, not 150 thousand. The Prosperous Armenia candidate for prime minister considers security issues a priority.
He also presented in detail the PAP economic program and touched upon the development of agriculture in particular. He said that after 2018, he brought an investment of one billion dollars to Armenia to establish a fertilizer factory in Ararat region, but the authorities did not take action: “the investor left.”

Gagik Tsarukyan stated that the ministries that united after 2018 should be separated.
