Armenian wrestler defeats Azerbaijani rival, wins gold at U21 European Championship

Armenian wrestler Lyova Gevorgyan (125 kg) defeated Aydin Akhmadov (Azerbaijan) 11-0 in the last round to win gold at the U21 European Freestyle Wrestling Championship in Dortmund, Germany.

Seven Armenian athlete participated in the tournament.

Manvel Khndzrtsyan (57 kg) and Levik Mikayelyan won silver medals, while Narek Harutyunyan (70 kg) and Sergey Sargsyan clinched bronze.
