The organizers of the Future Armenian movement- Artur Alaverdyan, Nubar Afeyan, Aram Bekchyan, and Ruben Vardanyan- held another open meeting in Yerevan. Future Armenian is a public initiative developed by Armenians and friends of Armenia from all over the world that 97 countries and over 91,000 initiators joined. The purpose of the movement is to establish a mutual realization and understanding toward the stable development of Armenia and the Armenian nation. Welcoming the compatriots who came to participate in the open public meeting, the co-initiator of the movement, Ruben Vardanyan, expressed confidence that this is a very important first step. “Our future is in our hands, and we are responsible for our future. We really need to understand where we are going and we must all build our future together. No one will lead us, but we choose our path, our future, which we must all build together.
There have been many difficult times for us, but we have never lost hope and we are confident that we will move forward. I am glad that as we move forward, we better understand what our greatest needs and problems are that are hindering our progress. And the only way to solve these problems is to have discussions among ourselves and to cultivate a new ability in us, the ability to listen to each other. It is not easy because we do not listen to each other, we do not learn much from each other, we each think that our opinion is the strongest, and it is very difficult to accept the opinion of another as an opportunity to change something in us. But I am sure that there is no other way,” said Ruben Vardanyan.
