The government plan was discussed during the latest session of parliament, which was presented by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Until Pashinyan presented the plan, the I Have Honor alliance leader Artur Vanetsyan announced that they will be leaving the hall as a sign of protest, but they will return to ask questions and listen to speeches. But the leader of the Armenia alliance faction, Seyran Ohanyan, referring to the detainment of deputy Armen Charchyan, said that the judge’s decision to arrest him is unconstitutional, and the judge’s behavior must be assessed properly.
“The Armenia alliance announces the fact that there is constant persecution against its members, and it strictly condemns the authorities’ behavior in trying to restrict the opposition’s speech with pressure.” The Armenia alliance demanded that the National Assembly secure the natural work of its deputies, and it suggested that all factions come forth with an appropriate statement.
The faction also demanded that the Prosecutor General come to parliament and give an explanation. The members of the Armenia alliance remained in the hall so that they could make use of the right to ask questions and give speeches.
