The events of the last year have shown that the problems of our society are more serious and deeper than just the departure or stay of this or that government. The fact that we are one of the first in the world in terms of the number of deaths from the coronavirus and the last in terms of the number of vaccinated can not be explained only by the actions of the government or the opposition. It is a manifestation of a deep and very difficult disease in society. As with any disease, you need to understand where and how “antibodies” can form.
In the past, I think, “antibodies” were visible. I saw them in “I am against,” “Electric Yerevan,” and other social movements. I saw educated people with normal jobs (mostly young people) who did not set the task of punishing anyone, of taking revenge on someone, but of building a truly new Armenia. Naturally, most of these young people also took part in the 2018 revolution. Where are those people now? 98% left the public arena, 2% became deputies or officials, and today they are no different from RPA officials and deputies.
The antibodies are therefore eliminated from the body and the body continues to eat the virus, which has existed for 30 years. The authorities not only did not strengthen the immunity, but also contributed to the spread of the virus. As you know, the stupidest thing that can be done with the coronavirus is to take antibiotics so that patients can simply feed on the virus. In exactly the same way, after 2018, the propaganda of hatred became a way to deepen the social disease. At first, I warned my pro-government friends that it would not end well, but they said I was behaving like a Leopold cat. I somewhat understand them. The qualified part of society that supported them, the “antibodies,” no longer exists, and the low-quality addressee needs that very propaganda. To be fair, if it were not for that sermon or the Prime Minister’s crazy “lives,” the disease would not have cured itself. Special efforts were needed for recovery that were not taken, although there was a chance.
What are the signs of the spread of the virus? They are in front of my eyes every day: hanging the pictures of the “boss” on the walls again, employing the former RPA “club kids” for the Civil Contract, including the former RPA village mayors in the Civil Contract proportional list, giving state orders to their own people, and passing laws against the media one after another. These are the manifestations of the virus. And no new antibodies are seen yet.
