The Goris Security Council is holding an awareness rally. Streets in Yerevan were closed for 44 minutes. Thus, the protesters invited the citizens to the Republic Square at 5 PM to stop the process of demarcation and delimitation, which is going on behind the people’s backs. Council member Ara Zohrabyan tried to get clarifications on the police actions.
The deputy head of the Shengavit police department spoke to him, saying that the protest disrupted the normal life of the citizens, that the ambulances could not move because of the protest and that the responsibility would remain entirely on the protesters. One of the protesters countered that the police were silent when 18-year-old soldiers were killed due to illegal actions of the government and when the country was handed over to the Turks. The police forcibly removed him from the road, saying that they were clearing the road.
