This year, most tourists visited Armenia from the Russian Federation. 238,008 tourists came to Armenia from Russia. In the same period last year, 125,212 tourists came to our country from Russia. These indicators were published by the RA Statistical Committee, summarizing the geographical distribution of those who arrived in our country. 15,715 tourists came to Armenia from Ukraine, and 41,295 came from Georgia. The number of people coming from the Philippines has significantly decreased. If last year we hosted 5,404 tourists from that country, this year 1,336 tourists came. Instead, we have hosted almost five times the number of tourists from France this year.
Last year 2,348 people came, and this year, 10,619 tourists came to Armenia.This year, 200 tourists came from Tajikistan, and 8 tourists from Kenya. We hosted 3 from Vietnam, and 13 people came to visit us from the Vatican. 970 tourists came from Syria, and 497 from Romania. We also had tourists from Portugal. This year 254 people came from that country, and 105 tourists came last year. 1,255 tourists came to Armenia from the Czech Republic. Last year, there were 202 people from the Czech Republic. 655 tourists came to our country from Uzbekistan, 24 from Sri Lanka, 860 from Switzerland, 1,941 from Sweden, and 191 from Norway.
We hosted 51 people from New Zealand. We had another tourist from Nicaragua. The number of tourists from the Netherlands has almost quadrupled. Last year 1,248 tourists came to our country, and 5,971 tourists came this year. 377 tourists came to our country from China.
We also had tourists from Turkey. 2,154 people came this year, and only half that number came last year. We hosted 3 people from Pakistan, 5 from El Salvador, and 21 from Nigeria. We had 513 tourists from Moldova and 78 from Myanmar. 24,347 tourists came to Armenia from the United States this year. Last year, only 3,821 people came from the United States. We hosted 2,709 tourists from the United Kingdom, 86 from Mexico, 7 from Morocco, and 19 from Malta. We also had 125 tourists from Japan. 711 people came from Kyrgyzstan as tourists. 3,131 people arrived in Armenia from Kazakhstan, 356 from Hungary, 1,195 from Greece, and 560 from Jordan. Compared to last year, the number of tourists from India has increased significantly. This year we hosted 15,244 tourists, and 2,884 came to our country from India last year 2,884.

We also had 249 tourists from South Africa. 93 people came from Korea and 25 from Cuba. There were 3 people from Costa Rica who came to Armenia as tourists. 235 people came from Cyprus and 1,312 from Canada. 126 people came from Croatia, and 55 from Luxembourg. 476 tourists from Lithuania and 461 from Latvia came to Armenia.
We hosted 2,992 tourists from Iraq, 68,830 from Iran, and 1,429 from Italy. 1,424 people came to our country from Israel, 1,376 people from Spain, 186 people from Ireland, 2,155 people from Turkmenistan, 313 people from Estonia, and 16 people from Zimbabwe. We had 10 tourists from Egypt, 468 from Denmark, 7,978 from Germany, 220 from Brazil, 1,056 from Bulgaria, 4,507 from Belgium, 5,053 from Belarus, 4,617 from the United Arab Emirates, 1033 from Austria, 239 from Australia, 6 tourists from Algeria, and 51 from Albania.
