1lurer.am. The normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey will contribute generally to the improvement of situation in the region and the formation of an atmosphere of trust and good relations, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stated at a weekly briefing.
According to her, Russia has repeatedly expressed readiness to play a mediation role to normalize Armenian-Turkish relations.
“The appointment of special envoys is a logical and sensible step to develop a mutual wish to normalize relations,” she added.
