On January 11, journalists asked Deputy Defense Minister Arman Sargsyan about if Turkey and Azerbaijan were beginning an era of peace, does he find it acceptable that they are firing at Armenian villages? He answered, “We live in a region that is not stable, and I understand that they are firing.”
When asked about how they talk about the fact that they notice positive signals, Arman Sargsyan responded, “Everyone is talking. Have you ever seen a country at war that does not talk about peace? Everyone is talking. I do not say formal or informal. All countries talk about peace, but not all want real peace. We, the Republic of Armenia, really want to open an era of peace, and steps are being taken in that direction.”
