Andranik Tevanyan from the Armenia faction made a speech at the National Assembly session on Tuesday and stated that the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey had signed the declaration in occupied Shushi that is completely anti-Armenian in content. According to the declaration, that Armenia should accept the fact that Artsakh is part of Azerbaijan, renounce the international persecution of the Armenian Genocide, and transfer it to the realm of historians.
“The parliaments of Azerbaijan and Turkey have ratified the declaration and so far the National Assembly has not responded, at least at the level of its spokesperson.”
According to Tevanyan, no state body in Armenia has responded to this and the statements that they are normalizing relations with Turkey without preconditions do not fit in with this process. He said that the ratification of that declaration is an external challenge for us and the National Assembly must find a resolution and a path and respond to all that.
