Free Armenian language courses for repatriates

YEREVAN, ARMENIA (March 21, 2022) –  The Republic of Armenia’s Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs is excited to launch the first free of charge service under the scope of the Repatriation and Integration Center: Armenian language classes.

These classes will help recent repatriates break down language barriers and improve their Eastern Armenian skills.

 

Free of any charge, the classes will be organized in the following groups.

  • Elementary Eastern Armenian: designed for those with zero to very basic knowledge of Armenian, who will learn reading, writing and speaking.
  • Intermediate/Advanced Eastern Armenian: designed for those who would like to improve existing Eastern Armenian reading, writing and speaking skills.
  • Western Armenian to Eastern Armenian Adaptation Class: designed for those who have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Western Armenian, but are looking to adapt their knowledge to Eastern Armenian.

The classes will take place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday – from 12:00 to 19:00, at the 9th floor of Vazgen Sargsyan 3, Government House 2

The classes will be held in stages several times throughout the year.

*Priority will be given to ethnic Armenians from the Diaspora, who have been living in Armenia for less than a year, and are actively searching for employment, between the ages 18 to 45.
