“Everything that is being done by the Azerbaijani authorities under the auspices of Turkey is a consequence of the consistent inaction of the Armenian capitulation regime, anti-state and anti-national policy,” RPA Council member and former NA Vice Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters on March 25, referring to Artsakh and Armenia. The situation has been tense again in recent days. He notes that the authorities continued to do nothing: they did not buy weapons, did not turn their backs on the army, never spoke about Azerbaijani occupation, and Nikol Pashinyan refused to call Shushi and Hadrut occupied in parliament.
They did not even talk about Azerbaijan’s occupation policy in the international arena. They have invaded the territory of Armenia for 41 kilometers. Moreover, putting all this aside, the authorities declare that, by and large, the five points presented by Azerbaijan are acceptable to them. “What did you expect from Azerbaijan after all this?”
Eduard Sharmazanov asked, reiterating his opinion that the current government of Armenia is the gift of the century for Aliyev and Erdogan. He notes that you are going for peace, but “the Turk does not want peace, the Turk says surrender.” He recalled the simple truth that nations must fight to live. He did not understand the government’s policy of “putting everything in Russia’s pocket.”
“Even now they say, ‘let the Russian peacekeepers go.’ When they go, will you be able to… it is not a tram or a trolleybus for them to leave and concede to the American or the European? If they leave, who will come? The Turks.” Good or bad, right or wrong, the opposition figure considers the only guarantor of the security of Armenia and Artsakh to be Russia. He did not comment on the rumors that Parukh was handed over by the Russian peacekeepers. He said there is a problem and we have to work.
