The parliamentary majority should try to support the opposition, which announced that they are leaving for Artsakh and the border regions of the Republic of Armenia and will not participate in the NA sittings. Public figure Ara Sahakyan spoke about this on April 12 at the Hayeli press club. In his opinion, the NA Speaker should have even provided means and transport and wished goodbye, and not the Civil Contract deputies should have risen to the podium and responded to that call with swear words.
When their prime minister was shouting in Stepanakert Square, “Artsakh is Armenia, that’s it,” then it was not a provocation, it was not a barricade And now, when people put the flag of Artsakh symbolically on the podium, they consider it enmity. “Do you know how many countries in the world have the Ukrainian flag flying in government buildings, squares, national assemblies, and people wear it on their clothes?” said Ara Sahakyan.
According to him, such an “aggressive” attitude speaks about something that the CC members are very afraid of. “The Turks have caught their fear and have taken it deeply, because they did not have a culture of relations with the opposition. There has been opposition for twenty years.” According to Ara Sahakyan, this government implements its foreign policy based on “false postulates,” that is, to replace the traditional ally with a new ally. “Moreover, no European country declares that Armenia is its ally.”

Referring to the current situation in Ukraine, which is left alone in the Russian-Ukrainian war, the West, which promises not to close the air in Ukraine, said that Armenia faces the same fate if it betrays its traditional ally. Sahakyan thinks that in order to save the state, there must be a state-people unity. “Since the opposition has taken responsibility for this dire situation, the people must understand that they must move forward with the program mentioned by the opposition. There must be such a nationwide atmosphere and situation in all communities, in all families, in villages, in cities, so that everyone understands that Artsakh must not be left alone, that our brothers, our compatriots live there.” According to Ara Sahakyan, the opposition must explain to the people that the goal of these authorities is to change the geopolitical course, and more specifically, to throw Russia out of the region and bring Turkey to it instead.
