Today, again people try to turn this historical phase of resolving the Artsakh problem into a political act of seizure of power bypassing the people. And again they do it under the veil of patriotism: the Head of the Faction Hayk Konjoryan noted delivering a speech on behalf of the Civil Contract Faction during the debate of the report on the implementation of the Government programme on April 14.
He touched upon the internal-political issues, the Artsakh problem and the processes going on around it, particularly underlining the unacceptable workstyle of the parliamentary opposition.
Noting the fact of the opposition not taking part in the convened NA regular sittings on April 12, Hayk Konjoryan said in particular: “This whole story, when we say let’s talk about the truth, and they don’t speak here, they slam the door and tell us from the far distance: People we are losing homeland, they should go, we’ll come so not to lose it. This is nothing but bandit ideology, but mania of returning their own robbery, this is turning around the history, a mania of throwing the people onto the same whirlpool of history, with which our today’s opposition is obsessed. This is a classic desertion, with which our today’s opposition is obsessed, and the saddest example of that desertion are considered to be these empty chairs, and we witness that also on the international platforms. When the seat of the opposition is again empty with the international colleagues, when the seat of the citizen that voted the opposition is empty, when the opposition just today is again bypassing the people for making a decision for the future of Artsakh, because if the opposition is not here, the one who voted for the opposition is not here.”
Hayk Konjoryan also voiced a question directed to the voters of the opposition in order to leave them standing on the sidewalk of history, unreported for building the future of Armenia and Artsakh.
