“Azerbaijan supplies not only fuel but also weapons to Ukraine”: Argishti Kiviryan

April 18,2022 10:30

Analyst Argishti Kiviryan has information that Azerbaijan supplies not only fuel but also weapons to Ukraine. “I do not think that Russia did not notice it,” he said on April 15 during a discussion on “How to Give Armenia New Hope and Prospects for Development?” in the Armenian Agenda’s series on April 15. The Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Armenia Denis Avtonomov called such rumors false. According to the analyst, Azerbaijan is strengthening its military potential, but the enemy, in this case, is not only Armenia, and, perhaps, not so much Armenia. In the current situation, when, according to him, there are sober, inadequate, and incompetent authorities at the helm of Armenia, the Armenians of Artsakh must solve their problems with the help of Armenians around the world, including Armenians with ties to the Kremlin.

“Artsakh must build vertical relations with Russia, deepen those relations, coordinate its steps with Moscow, and support the solution of geopolitical problems, taking into account Baku’s anti-Russian position on the events in Ukraine. We must save time at all costs to avoid a catastrophe.” According to the speaker, the presence of the Russian military group in Artsakh prevents the large-scale attack on Azerbaijan. “If Russia encounters problems in Ukraine, I am sure that Azerbaijan, as in the case of Parukh, will try to become more active in several directions.” Referring to the past two days in the parliament and Nikol Pashinyan’s statements, Argishti Kiviryan expressed an opinion that under the guise of theses voiced about the international community, Pashinyan joined the process of pushing Russia out of the region. According to his estimates, the division of spheres of influence in the world will end with the domination of 6-7 states, which will play a decisive role in different regions.

“Pashinyan probably does not see Armenia in the Russian camp.” The speaker recalled Nikol Pashinyan’s accusations against Russia and the statement on the need to investigate the actions of Russian peacekeepers during the events in Parukh. He noted that Pashinyan had publicly accused the CSTO that such criticism had not been voiced during Azerbaijan’s attack on Armenia.

“Besides, there is a discrepancy with the situation around the OSCE Minsk Group, that in the conditions of a tough confrontation between the West and Russia, it is impossible to imagine that for the sake of the Armenian people they will set aside their differences, sit at the table, and form a common platform. And the references to the international community have no basis at all, as there is no international community, it has been destroyed. It is another attempt to manipulate the consciousness of the population. After his visit to Europe, Pashinyan actively began to advance theses on supporting the non-existent international community.”
