On April 20, a reception dedicated to the 10th anniversary of Armenia’s full membership in the International Organization of La Francophonie was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which was attended by Ambassador Désiré Nyaruhirira, Special Adviser to the OIF Secretary-General on Diplomacy and Political Affairs. The reception was also attended by high-ranking guests from different ministries of the Republic of Armenia, NA deputies, Ambassadors of the member states of the International Organization of La Francophonie accredited in Armenia, chargés d’affaires, heads of French institutions operating in Armenia, high-ranking representatives of the scientific and educational sphere.
Deputy Minister Vahe Gevorgyan delivered a welcoming remark, reaffirming Armenia’s strong connection to the Francophone world, emphasizing with satisfaction the great importance of Francophone culture in Armenian society. At the same time, he referred to the presidency of Armenia in the Summit of La Francophonie since 2018, which ends in November of this year.
Désiré Nyaruhirira, օn behalf of the International Organization of La Francophonie, warmly congratulated Armenia on the tenth anniversary of its full membership, commending the exemplary relations of Armenia and the Organization and the exceptional spirit of cooperation.
