The meeting of Vahe Gevorgyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia
On April 26, Vahe Gevorgyan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, received Javier Colomina Píriz, the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.
The Deputy Minister and Special Representative discussed different items of cooperation between Armenia and NATO. The sides touched upon the continuous involvement of Armenian peacekeeping units in international peacekeeping missions, including under the auspices of NATO.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on topics of international and regional security. The Deputy Minister briefed the Special Representative on the threats for regional peace and security resulting from the actions of Azerbaijan. In this context, he emphasized the role of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship in the advancement of Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.
