“In a few days, Nikol’s resignation will take place. No one should doubt it for a second,” said Hayrenik party leader Artur Vanetsyan on April 27. The participants of the march moved from Freedom Square along Mashtots Avenue to the Paronyan-Leo crossroads with the slogans “Armenia without Turks,” “Armenians, unite.”
They stopped at the section where the 29-year-old pregnant woman was hit by a car accompanying Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Sos Hakobyan said during the march, “Last year, 72,000 citizens left Armenia. The debt of the Armenian people has almost doubled, yet neither salaries nor pensions have increased. Armenians live in worse and more dangerous conditions, and the border people lose their lives every day, living under direct enemy fire. In this case, there is one solution: Armenia, stand up, Artsakh, stand up, Armenian nation, stand up! This time we are going to the end of a decisive struggle. The change of power will be victorious in a very short time. We will have a secure, developing Armenia, a secure, strong and sovereign Artsakh; we will live without Turks.”
