On April 29, the march of the leader of the Homeland party Artur Vanetsyan took place from Freedom Square. He commented on Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan’s statement during a meeting with Prime Minister Pashinyan that “Artsakh Armenians, first of all, of course, welcome and accept the peace agenda, because there is no one who knows the price of peace more than the people of Artsakh. But, on the other hand, I want to note that we do not see any direction to deviate from our right to self-determination, which we started from the first day of the movement.”
Vanetsyan said, “Arayik Harutyunyan says we accept the peace agenda. We also accept the peace agenda, but not at the expense of the sovereignty of Armenia or Artsakh, the loss of territories, and unilateral concessions.
The peace agenda that has been put forward. At the moment we have only the 5 principles proposed by Azerbaijan, which is about the following: Artsakh is no more, it is part of Azerbaijan, we will talk about the territories of Armenia, we will look at some issues, we will adjust the rest to the people. In other words, Armenians, be smart or you will see what I am doing to you. This government wants it, we have revolted against it. As for the peace agenda, the realization of the inalienable right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination is, of course, acceptable.”
Vanetsyan said that Arayik Harutyunyan has shown that he does not always maintain principles in relations with Nikol Pashinyan, so the statement of the Artsakh National Assembly, which was adopted unanimously, is the basis for him.
