On May 4, the Chair of the Counting Commission of the Armenian parliament Narek Babayan presented the results of the election of a member of the Commission on TV and Radio at the NA sitting. He informed that 70 out of 107 deputies took part in the secret ballot.
Gohar Mamikonyan was elected a member of the Commission on TV and Radio by 70 votes in favor.
Assuming the duties of a member of the regulating state body, Gohar Mamikonyan swore on oath of loyalty to the Constitution and laws to protect human rights and fundamental freedoms, and to support the formation of civil society through the right to freedom of expression, freedom of information and pluralism.
“I swear that I will fulfil my duties impartially, with the utmost honesty. I will act on the principle of publicity, impartiality and justice, regardless of any political or economic interests,” Gohar Mamikonyan noted.
