The parliament debated the draft law on Ratification of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Republic of Poland on the Implementation of the Agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union on Readmission of Persons Residing without Authorisation signed on April 19, 2013 in Brussels at the regular sitting held on June 14. The Head of the Migration Service of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Ghazaryan presented the draft.
The Protocol set the rules on competent authorities, means of communication, border crossing points, necessary documents to be submitted, readmission procedures, erroneous readmission, escorts, activities carried out by diplomatic missions and consular posts, expenditures and regular consultations in detail. It will enter into force on the 30th day following the notification of the completion of the internal procedures of both sides by the Armenia-EU Joint Readmission Committee.
The NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations endorsed the draft.
