On 16 June, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin and representatives of European Commission’s Directorate-General for EU Neighbourhood and Enlargement met with the European Union implementing partners working with displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh through 5 different projects. Partners have presented the work done so far and discussed the needs of the displaced beyond the immediate assistance by the European Union. Immediate humanitarian assistance was made available to all displaced people in Syunik through European Union funds. Currently implemented projects with an approximate budget of EUR 4 million focus on livelihoods support and economic integration of the displaced.
The meeting took place in Impact Hub (candidate) Syunik, which was set up with European Union co-financing in the framework of the ‘’Stronger Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Syunik (SEES) – Supporting Vulnerable and Displaced People’’ Project.
